Each Orno earring is cut from a simple plank of exotic wood, in this case black walnut, before being carefully hand sanded and varnished. Black Walnut is indigenous to North America, found widely in Ontario, South Dakota, and Texas.
The Walnut tree can measure up to 100 feet tall, with a trunk of around 3 feet in diameter. Defining characteristics include its naturally rich color, and straight grain.
